Beltran Coming Back

Tonight, the Mets will get back their center fielder Carlos Beltran. Beltran left in the middle of the 2009 season because of problems with his knee. When he left everything started to go downhill for the Mets. After the Mets lost Beltran they fell into last place. One of the causes of that is Beltran took some of the pressure off of David Wright(Mets third baseman), but when he left Wright felt a lot of pressure. On January 13, 2010, Beltran went under knee surgery. Lately, Beltran has been playing in Minor League games to return to form. With Beltran coming back Angel Pagan and Jeff Francoeur will have to compete over playing time. When Beltran comes back tonight he will be wearing a knee brace. Hopefully Beltran will return better than ever.
