The Jackals Game

Today, Write on Sports went to the Jackals game. Boy, what an experience. Some people might say that it was pouring. I wouldn't, I would call it something twice as worse as pouring. Instead of watching a baseball game the Write on Sports group stayed huddled in the picnic area underneath a tarp covering. At first it was alright, well besides staying in one area for a long period of time. For the first half hour at the game it was fine, not a lot of people were trying to cram into the picnic area with us. However, about forty-five minutes in, a lot of more camps tried to huddle in the picnic area with us. There were kids from Passaic sitting at our tables not knowing where to go soaking wet. The good thing was after a while the kids from Passaic left to go with their camp.

About twenty minutes or so after the kids from Passaic left a couple of players on the Jackals went onto the tarp covering the infield. The players then started slipping and sliding on the drenched tarp. Boy, what a sight. I've never seen baseball players slip and slide on the tarp to pass the time during a rain delay. Apparently the Jackals are going to play the Sussex County Skyhawks at around 1:30 PM. This is because it is possible that the Jackals and the Skyhawks might tie for the Wild Card at the end of the year so the Jackals and the Skyhawks need to play this game. Well, that was one interesting experience.

  1. Just a heads up from a reader - this font is really hard to read. I think people would want to read this, so I'd think about making it easier to look at.
